Hello, Autumn!

Tuesday, September 23, 2014 is the first day of fall in the Northern Hemisphere. Fall means several things: the weather starts to cool down, the leaves begin to change, days get shorter and nights get longer. It’s the transition from summer into winter.

It’s the time of year we say goodbye to the beach and baseball and welcome with open arms football, apple cider and pumpkin pie.

There are tons of things to do during this colorful and festive season. Here are just a few:

Get outdoors. Go for a hike, take a trip to a pumpkin patch, visit a corn maze or go on a hayride.
Do yard work. If you want to have a productive day, get the family together to rake leaves, which can be fun if everyone plays in the leaf piles before bagging them up.
Have a gathering. It’s a great time of year to have a Harvest or Halloween party, gather to cheer on your favorite football team or get a carload of people together and go to a drive-in movie.

There are also lots of things to do around Nashville:

Whatever you do, enjoy the season because winter is right around the corner. And remember, if you find yourself in need of some extra cash, Advance Financial is always here to help, 24/7/365, spring, summer, fall or winter.
